Mike Woodard (mike@meetmike.com)
Mike Woodard got his Maine real estate license in 1988 just before the market collapsed. There were valuable lessons learned in that challenging climate. Twenty years later, Mike still enjoys solving real estate problems for sellers and buyers. Mike's areas of expertise include home construction; condominium development; pricing houses to sell; creative financing; septic systems; surveying; landlording; and real estate guerilla marketing.
Mike's other passions are fine food, great beer, Broadway musicals, and his 17-year old cat, Bonus, acquired as a kitten in lieu of commission to save a deal.
Marc Chalfoun (marc@meetmike.com)
Marc Chalfoun, born in Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ, which has the distinction of being the only double hyphenated town in the country, began his real estate career in 2003, a few years after moving to Mount Desert Island. Marc is enthusiastic about the diverse real estate market here. “MDI has seven major communities, and each has its own unique characteristic and feel. There is something for everyone on this Island. The variety keeps things interesting.” His professional goal of providing a helping hand through the process of purchasing a home, which he feels can, at times, be “intimating,” was realized with his first sale. He sold an oceanfront property to an out-of-state couple with a young child. “I just knew from dealing with them that it was a perfect fit with lots of potential. I liked being part of helping a family make memories for years to come.” Working with his colleagues at Mike Woodard Realty has also been rewarding. “Mike is a no nonsense realtor. He has a way of working with both buyer and seller to reach a mutual agreement.” On a personal note, two months out of every year Marc recharges his batteries by partaking in climbing expeditions throughout the world.
